During my recent trip to Tochigi, Japan, I had the pleasure of dining at "Hana no Ki," a renowned ramen spot located in Utsunomiya. Knowing that Utsunomiya is famous for its ramen and gyoza, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to indulge in some local delicacies.

However, finding the restaurant proved to be a bit tricky as it doesn't particularly stand out. In fact, I drove past it once, so I advise being cautious when searching for it.

Upon arriving, I found ample parking for around 10 cars, and I had no trouble parking my van. Stepping into the restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised by the natural ambiance, which seemed a bit unconventional for a ramen shop, but I found it charming and enjoyable. The presence of outside seating was a first for me at a ramen shop, allowing me to fully immerse myself in nature while savoring my meal.

The staff at Hana no Ki were incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive throughout my dining experience. Despite the variety of menu options available, I opted for the most popular-looking ramen, and I must say, the flavor was absolutely divine. The combination of delicious food, serene atmosphere, and friendly staff made for a memorable dining experience that I wholeheartedly recommend.

One thing to note is that Hana no Ki only accepts cash payments, so it's essential to come prepared. Additionally, next to the restaurant, there is a freezer where you can purchase frozen ramen and gyoza to enjoy at home. If I hadn't been in the midst of my journey, I would have certainly purchased some to share with my family.

In conclusion, if you find yourself in the Utsunomiya area, I highly recommend paying a visit to Hana no Ki. Indulge in delicious ramen, soak in the natural ambiance, and experience the warm hospitality of the staff. It's an experience you won't soon forget.
